At this year's Nikolausmarkt the British stall was run by the members of the Freundschaftskreis Tonbridge & Malling e.V. They were wonderfully imaginative in conjuring up "British" items to sell: handmade fudge, a King Charles Toddy (whiskey, lemon juice, cloves and hot water) and locally sourced English Breakfast Tea, complete with a Heusenstamm label! All items were highly popular with the local visitors. The English carol singing was held at the same weekend, and enjoyed by a large audience, who also appreciated the home made shortbread on offer. Unfortunately, no visitors from Tonbridge were present this time.
